Since it was a Sunday, there was only my husband and I so we had a private guide and the ATV tour to ourselves! =) Roberto was our guide, very nice and friendly. We would definitely recommend this ATV excursion.
Very rocky, rough and muddy! If you have a bad neck/back...I don't recommend going because it's rough out there but so much fun! Ladies, please make sure you have on sportsbra!!! |

I took the ATV/Snorkeling tour, about $75 I think, and had a great time. I met the guy at Margaritaville restaurant near the piers. One other couple was there, so there were 3 of us. He put us in a shuttle, and off we went to ride ATVs in the woods. It was great fun, and the guide stopped a couple times to share a wee bit of history with us - we saw a cenote and a small Mayan ruin. That lasted about 90 minutes.
Then we were shuttled to a "beach resort." This is common on Cozumel. It's just a section of beachfront property where they've built a locker room, outdoor showers, a bar/restaurant, a swimming pool, etc. So a person can relax on the beach and have everything at arms reach - for a price. The beach is free, by law.
At this resort we were treated, as part of the package, to a one-hour snorkeling tour. After which we continued to snorkel on our own. The tour was neat, the guy picked up a sea horse and a conch for us to hold.
At the end, they put us into a taxi (on their dime) and returned us to where we started. Our wristband entitled us to a free margarita at the Margaritaville restaurant, but I didn't use it.
I went back to my hotel and crashed. I was tired and very satisfied. It felt like a lot of action in 4 hours, and was among the cheaper adventures on Cozumel. I recommend. |

We booked the "snorkel with turtles" tour we were not disappointed. The Wild tours rep. met us at the ferry as promised with our round trip ferry tickets in hand and our wrist band "park passes" ready to go. We were met in Playa del Carmen and taken south to the snorkeling sites in an air-conditioned van as promised. Our guide kept us together and pointed out several turtle that I might have missed. We saw barracuda, stingrays and several turtle as well as hundreds of reef fish. I had my 80 year old mother along and she saw and did it all and had the time of her life. Our guide were very considerate and helpful. We had our own snorkel gear along with us but they were well equipped and we could have come without our gear. The lunch at the beach free and I ate all that I wanted and I am sure I could have had more. I was tired and happy when we drove away from Akumel. What more can you ask from a vacation excursion? |

We took the ATV Tour and our guide, Sergio, was fantastic! He gave us great Mayan culture background and the way his forefathers lived and their life on Cozumel. Sergio is highly recommended! He is funny and intelligent and we wouldn't have enjoyed it nearly as much as we did without him! |

Our tour was outstanding. Our tourguide's name was Ramon. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and made our tour a lot of fun. He was very personable and knew each one of our names within a few minutes of meeting him. He exceded our expectations. We were warmly greeted as we got off the boat and escorted to a van to make the drive to Akumal. If we were to have a complaint it would be that the ride from Playa Del Carmen to Akumal was a little long.. .but we knew this going in and weren't suprised and the ride was very pleasant. When we got to the resort we were given time to get ready to snorkle and put our gear on. The snorkling equipment was excellent. We had snorkled the day before and other times in the past and the masks leaked or something was wrong with it. We walked onto a very beautiful beach were escorted out to the spots where the sea turtles were to be. We were not disapointed as we saw many many turtles on our trek. The live reef and beautiful fish were worth the price of the tour alone, but seeing the turtles in their natural habitat was awesome. We were free to swim around and weren't pushed too fast or too slow. Ramon showed us the way as we explored on our own and he would point out fish and turtles as he saw them. After we were finished swimming we had time to clean up a little bit and were escorted to lunch. After lunch our guide, Ramon, gave us the choice to swim/snorkle more on the beach or go into town and shop / site-see. We chose to shop. When we got into town Ramon showed us our way and set us loose. We met up with him when we were finished and headed back to our boat. Ramon saw to it that we made it back to our destination and saw us off. We enjoyed our time so much. We had been on many other excursions before but this one has them beat. We had a great time and cannot wait to go back. We had thought that we would go on another cruise next year but after our experience with this tour, we are going back to Cozumel and staying there for as long as we can. We will take this tour again and hope that we can get Ramon again. I highly recommend that you choose this tour. It is AWESOME!!!!! |

I purchased the ATV beach tour on board the Carnival Imagination this past September after looking for the best tour option which is not extreme where me, my wife and 2 sons can all have some fun. I must say that the tour from the moment we were received on the pier until the end was very well organized to a point we even received refreshing towles to clean off after getting mud all over from the ATV ride.
I paid $99 for each one of us and it was defenatly worth it considring we drove the ATVs for about 2 hours on a guided tour and then continued to this beautifull beach club for snorkeling. My sons enjoyed the snorkel while me and my wife had lunch by the pool of the resort.
Since we had only a few hours in Cozumel, this was certainly our best option for a fun family adventure being very complete if you want to do the most out of your day for a fair price. |

We took the ATV and Beach Adventure while in Cozumel. We had a great time riding the atv's for about 2 hrs after a brief overview of how to operate. The sites were cool, but the riding was the best part. The guides were also fun and knew lots about the history of the island. After the atv's we were bused to the beach. Although snorkeling was included we didn't participate and actually headed back to the ship by taxi which was included too. Great excursion, because after the avt part you can determine how long to stay at the beach, leaving more time to do other things in Cozumel. Don't forget the bug spray! |

We went on the ATV tour and it was the best of all our excursions! Half of our group went snorkeling in Cozumel and said it wasn't worth it that they should have gone on the ATVs. It is a must do if you like the thrill and don't mind getting dirty! Don't worry, it is more fun than you think, you want to go fast as soon as you get the hang of it, and the dirt washes off. Also the ATVs are both manual and automatic or you can ride with someone else so everyone has a good time. When we first started, we were stuck behind someone that was very slow, but they moved her back which is when the fun really started and I am sure once she got the hang of it she caught up. Our tour guides were very knowledgable and friendly. As we learned about the Mayan culture, our tour took us through the jungle to see a cenote and caves where we were provided with drinks and great stories. I would defiantely do this again with the whole family and receommend to others. |

Cozumel was the most amazing trip and pace I have ever been to in my entire life. While I was there my friend and I did a variety of activities and tours, one of them being the ATV tour through the rainforest. Being from a mountainous region with many ATV trails I found this to be one of the best and most informative 4 wheeling trips I have ever been on. The jungle terrain was amazing and the trails were fun. We even made some stops at a sink hole, a Mayan temple, and an underground cave. At each place the tour guides gave detailed information and historical knowledge related to the site. I plan on my future trips to Cozumel to make this on of my annual tours. It an experience you can not miss. |

We had a good time, and Mike, our guide, was great! A very jolly fella, he made sure everyone was doing good and helped with any problems anyone had with the 4-wheelers. He made sure we all knew how to start, go and stop before getting out on the trail. We stopped at a cenote (sinkhole filled w/water) and Mike told us about how the ancient Mayans used it. We also stopped at a pretty impressive cave that the Mayans used for shelter when hurricanes hit the island.
This is an off road tour so it's VERY rough in places. Big rocks and tree roots and washouts so be warned - If you have any back issues or anything that gives you problems, you shouldn’t go on this tour. |
