Boczer Family - ATX-Rail Expedition - 12/03/2009

And one more thing, I want to tell you that when we did the X-Rails in early March we had the best time! If I could afford to do the X-Rails again I would!! Out of all the different tours that I have done on my travels, I honestly think the X-Rails are one of my top favorites if not my number 1. Our tour guide, David was fantastic!

Granger - ATX - Rail Expedition - 2/1/2009

In Cozumel the off road vehicals were great! This trip was wonderful and I would do it again for sure and recommend it to everyone. Have a great day to everyone I have really enjoyed working with you.

Charbonneau - ATX - Rail Expedition - 1/23/2009

The ATX excursion in Cozumel was very good. The rep met us on time, the trip to the location was fine and the excursion itself was very interesting. The ATX machines were in good condition; our guide was informative and the swim in the sink hole/bat cave was really unexpected but very interesting! The trail to the sink hole was very rough, while we were OK with the rugged roads, we did get dirty but had a GREAT time .... this was one of the best excursions we have taken during a cruise.

Bellmann - ATX - Rail Expedition - 1/16/2009

This shore trip was the highlight of our cruise. The guys were fantastic and very informative of the history of the area and took the time to show us other caves. The ATV vehicles and ride were a blast. Felt like a little kid playing in the mud again. I'd recommend this trip to anyone.

We loved this expedition at one of our ports of call on our cruise. Didn't realize how dirty we would get but it was worth it. The bat cave was beautiful and the tour guide was very knowledgable about the Mayan history of the cave. His English was hit and miss every now and then but we would figure out what he was trying to say. Very friendly and anxious to please group of people. One word of caution: there is no bathroom!!!! For a 3 hr. trip that's a long time without facilities. Make sure you have time to go back to the ship if you plan on going anywhere after the tour because you will need to bathe!!

We just got back from Cozumel and had a great time! We decided not to book one of the cruise lines tours so to save some money we booked independently and it turned out to be a great decision! The buggies were bigger than I thought they‘d be and were very very fun to drive. The trail we were on was rocky and dusty. There were some puddles so we did get a little dirty. We went to a water filled cave in the jungle and swam in it for a while. While we were swimming the guide showed us a hidden bat cave that was really spooky but very cool. In short we had a great time on this tour and would definitely do it again. The guides were friendly and took good care of us throughout the tour.

My 20 year old daughter and I shared a dune buggy on this wonderful ride and swim adventure. We each took a turn driving and, once we got the hang of it, we went pedal to the metal and taking air! The bandanas were well worth the small expense as we were covered in mud and dust but didn't care one bit. The half way point was the true highlight of the trip as the cenote swim was spectacular beyond belief. As a former spelunker, I was thrilled by the cave swim and fascinated by the bats. Our guide Roberto was both informative and entertaining and made the trip so much more than we had expected. I would highly recommend this "Mexican massage". Note - use the restroom before you go - there aren't any at the ATV hub! Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. This will be a treasured memory for both of us.

The xrail tour was very fun.
You are not going to get dirty, your going to get muddy. Bring old clothes.
They have changing rooms, so bring a change of clean clothes for after the tour.
I would just wear your bathing suit on the tour.
If you have croc shoes, where them, or you can rent them there.

The All Terrain Xrails excursion was exactly what I had hoped for. Our tour guide Roberto was very funny and informative. He even fixed my camera after I dropped it in mud. This was by far my favorite excursion during my stay in Cozumel.

We recently took a cruise (our first, but not last) and one of our many highlights was the dune buggy ride through the jungle and to the caves. Neither one of us could stop smiling from beginning to end! Very helpful and friendly staff. There are two guarantees, tons of fun and tons of mud! What a blast!

We had Pre-Booked the All Terrain Xrail Buggy with Wild Tours on-line, they have a very user friendly website and communication was excellent.
Voucher in hand, we had a short $6 taxi ride from our ship to Margaritaville where we were met by a representative who put us on a taxi to where the trail starts. We were welcomed by Victor, our tour guide who very efficiently took care of the formalities.
We were given a very thorough 'lesson' on how to operate the Buggy, and with Victor leading we set off - being warned of getting dirty, we were thinking dust and maybe a little mud - no ways - not a mile into our trip we had mud on our faces and having FUN.
The buggies are very stable and comfortable and needs to be driven aggressively to get the most out of the experience. We stopped a couple of times with Victor ensuring that we were OK and having fun.
Arriving at Jade Caverns we were again given bottled water and life jackets, Victor, very knowledgably described the cavern history and my wife decided to swim (water was too cold to my liking) Victor swam with her and pointed out interesting facts of the surrounds.
After the 30 minute stop, we were back on the trail heading for base through the Mayan jungle - Victor made a last stop at a cavern where in days of old the inhabitant of the Island would find shelter during the hurricane season - being a true native of the Island, Victor kept us entertained with facts and figures throuhout our ride.
All too soon the trail came to an end; we were offered a spectacular picture they had taken just after setting out, for a mere $10 and again bottled water.
After saying our goodbyes, we were placed on a taxi that dropped us off at the cruise terminal.
From leaving Margaritaville to being dropped off at the terminal, everything was included in the price we paid - no hidden 'surprises'.
Word of advice - wear old clothes and take a fresh set and a bag to haul the dirty clothes back, lock these in the lockers they provide - you will need them if you have an image to uphold getting back on board - we did not and sneaked back on board looking like 2 year olds that had been playing in mud, but hearts full of fond memories and knowing why the 2 year olds have so much fun.
